Hi, I have Holts in canada and just got through going threw the 1881 canada census at the family history center. now are you looking for the wm holt born 1833 married to june born 1835 living in Proud foot & shaffey & Bethume & Perry muskoka county or the Francis Holt born 1827 married to emnia born 1840. I have alittle info not much. Do you have any info on Holts in nova scotia?     3. Hi Patty, I have HOLT's in Canada, too. Ontario to be exact. My g-g-grandfather was SIMON HOLT born c1838 in England, died in Jan 1888, Peterborough, Ontario. His wife was MARY KILBRIDE .His parents were ARTHUR and ANN HOLT. I have some info on other HOLT's born in Northern Ontario and in Ottawa. Ring any bells ?? They had 4 children, one of whom was John, my grandfather, who was born Jan. 28, 1889 in Rapides-des-Joachims, Ontario. This is up the Ottawa River past Pembroke. The other children were Maude, Robert and Roy. My grandfather lived most of his later life in Ottawa, where I am from.
