Petition of Randall Holt that he be reimbursed for loss of his boat, that boat and men were for the County's service and the boat lost and was not allowed the value by 200 lbs. of tobacco at the least and was forced to sue for that too, and was at much expense and not allowed any charge or cost of such and hath been not above 200 lbs. Page 87 - 2 July 1656-7. To the Worshippful Court of Surrey County Ct. The Humble Petition of Randall Holt, Sheweth that ye Petitioner understanding yet hee is accused for aprobrious speeches that should be given out by the Petitioner against the Worshipful Court who ye Petitioner calleth ye God of Heave, the said Accussee knoweth not of least evil toward the Worshipful Court, or Members, But if the Petitioner hath in the least kinde spoke abruptly to cause the Worshipful Court to be distreste by yet was is utterlye unknown Through Ignorance done by the Pt . and is alsoe Heartilye sorrye Doth Humblye Submitt to the Censure of the Worshipful Court ever pray. Page 89 (135-6) - 16 Aug 1675 At Southwarke, in Surry Co., 16 Aug. 1675. Wm. Thompson Minister, to the Governor in regard to unorthadox preaching by Robert Parke, a young man lately arrived, and residing at the house of MR. RANDOLPH HOLT, in Hog Island, Without permission or consent of Wm. Thompson, who is Minister in the Parish. On July last at Lawnes Creek Church, (Robert) Parke, at present sick in Isle of Wight County, this preaching brought about by MR.
