    3. HI joyce, Ran a print of your letter off for future reference. My husband Howard died Sept. 14, 1995, it was hard to give him up but he had Parkinson disease and it had gotten extremely bad and he no longer wanted to go to the clinic in St. Louis, Mo. the drive bothered him but it at least gave me a chance to be with my sister, and visit friends, St. Louis, is my home town. After that it became out of controll, arrived home one day to find him almost gone. they tried to revive him but it didn't work.. I sold our home at the Rogersville, Mo. address as l could not see my self mowing 2 1/2 acres of lawn each week, Howard had always done that. Bought a nice place in Springfield and love it, very convenient and l have someone to take care of the lawn, etc. Decided to go back to work, had retired from City Utilities Electric Transmission Department, but l went to work at Dillard's Dept. Store in the Battlefield Mall, children's Dept. worked two years and went to a small dress shop in another mall where l only work 3 days a week. June l leave for a Mediterran cruise, with my daughter Gina and family. I too have so much paper work to get in order, especially since l have gotten back into Holt and Lawson search. What do you have on Drury Holt, l know l have something and l have someone interested in it.. I really think Mary/Polly Holt who married Jackson Strunk, was somehow related to the Holt from Jellico,Campbell Co. Tenn. and the Whitely Co, Ky Holts. I have been told that Paschol Holt's Father was Francis Holt..and l am inclined to think that is correct but have no proof. Paschol is definetly a German name, but l have never found him any further back than 1820/22 when he married Rachel Jones in Martinville, Henry County, Tenn. I did not know that part of Whitley County was now in McCreary County, Ky. see l learned something. Let me know about the Drury Holt line. However, I do keep in touch with Jan Hoy, and forward whatever I see to her, as I did in this case. It is her line and I'm following it to see what happens, not much, it's about the same as our lines. When we think we got a hot clue, either don't get an answer back or it fizzles out. What have you been up to lately, you have a new grandbaby, right? My hubby has a motor home he parked up on Lake Fork and I had to go and spend a quiet week there. ha Seems nothing much around to do but fish, he made me get a license. Since I'm over 65, it only cost $6, fished for about an hr and a half. turned out like genealogy, no fish except me. He fishes a lot, quite a bit at nite, I stay in motor home, watch only good channel that comes in on tv or read the paper, nap. Fine for about 2-3 days, then I'm ready to get back to my home where all the action is. I've got so many papers to reread and save or destroy. Every time I look them over again, either I can't bear to part with them or it's like I never saw them before. Next time if I have a chance will take them with me. When Hal is ready to go, he bites, kicks and hollers. ha Time I get what else together we need and pack suitcases, have to go. Hope you are doing ok, guess you are working again. Keep in touch Harold liked your blonde jokes. Joyce Holt Taylor still trying to find out for sure who was Mary Polly Holt's parents were Slow going.. Was it Francis Holt & Sarah Denney???? Was it Drury Holt line?? I wish, I believe the answer lies right in Whitley Co., KY which now is in McCreary county. ==== HOLT Mailing List ==== ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
