This Columbus Lafayette HOLT is the son of James William HOLT and Poline Jane TRIPLETT. Columbus married Serena DAVIS in Blount County, Tennessee. Serena was the daughter of Calvin DAVIS and Margaret Everett. James William HOLT was the son of James Buchanan HOLT and Mahala LAWS. Poline Jane TRIPLETT was the daughter of William TRIPLETT and Mary BISHOP. I recently obtained the complete Civil War pension file for James William HOLT and am in the process of sorting through it.
