About once a year I post this query hoping that new HOLT researchers have joined our list and can help me. Seeking parents and siblings of Elisha HOLT born about 1802 in NC (data gathered from 1850, '60 and '70 censuses). He is first seen in 1827 Henry county marriage book when he and Parthena Bustre marry. He settles in Fayette Co Georgia and remains there remainder of his life. Clayton co formed from Fayette and he died there, leaving will. I am hoping there are some of you who have Bible records or some family records for fear Court House fires have erased offical records. By tracing HOLTs in NC that later were in GA there may be connection between Elisha and either Thomas Holt or Arrington Holt thought to be brothers.
