    1. [HOLT] Tarpley Holt
    2. David L. Casey
    3. If I'm not mistaken, Simon Holt was the Holt that migrated from Virginia to Georgia, and Tarpley is one of his sons along with my ancestor Robert (another son). I believe there was also a Thaddeus Holt (I think this Thaddeus also had several generations of offspring also named Thaddeus down into Civil War times...) Thaddeus & Tarpley Holt were the owners of huge antebellum white mansions that are prominent in Macon GA near "downtown" and across/down from what used to be a prominent women's college that is now the main Macon Post Office, but was kept in the architectural style of the old college building... We visited these old Holt homes a few year's back in Macon ... although Simon's son Robert (as I've mentioned) is who I descend from via HIS son William Holt who married Frances Cox (a descendant of Cary Cox of Putnam Co., and a Revolutionary War soldier, and great-grandfather of Gen. John B. Gordon)... Sorry this is just all from memory: http://holt.casey-genealogy.com for more.
