We found some info on Ancestry.com, and also confirmed that JBH was an Indian agent in southern Colorado 1878-79. (Archives,Center of Southwest Studies, Fort Lewis College, Durango, CO.) In 1880, he was counted in the census for Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. That's where our trail ended.
