He was about to come home....I was born in 1941, and have a letter he wrote my parents, that he would be home, to see me, soon!...He was my father's oldest sister's, oldest son....My parents mourned his death until they both died in the '60s and '90s....I can't remember what the ship was named, but will try to find it....enjoyed reading your story!
