They are not the same William L. Holt. The William Holt I'm looking for was most likely born sometime in the 1820s or 1830s, and is most definitely not the William L. Holt that appears on the Dawes Rolls. As I stated in my original post, an elderly relative believes that William L. Holt with the Dawes # 789 is our ancestor, and he may well have been from related line, but he simply cannot be our ancestor as he was born 70 to 80 years too late.
