I'm hoping to locate someone who descends from the Holt family of McCameron Township, Martin County, Indiana as enumerated in the US Census: 1840 - 1870. This is my first attempt to research my great grandmother's family. Susan Holt, b 01 February 1847 married Israel Jackson Hewitt also born in Indiana. They moved on to Kansas and later to Oklahoma.
