Does anyone know his birthdate? According to the will of his brother James Holt, he had three children by each wife. In an affidavit for bounty land in 1831 it was proved in Petersburg by the testimony of Clarimond Colquhoun that James Holt, Deceased, was the elder brother of Henry Holt, Midshipman in the State Revolutionary Navy and that William C. Holt was the only child of James Holt. Clarimond Colquhoun was of course the sister of James and Henry Holt mentioned in the will of Judge James Holt. She married 1st in July 1782, Robert Peter, who died in 1791.
