Ben, The father of My John Marshall Holt ,Joseph P. came from NH, where he was born, married in VT. amd then came to IL where ie died in Vergenes, IL, 1876. His wife was Hanna Peabody Holt. I will look to see if I have any siblings for JM Holt, born in 1831, Land Grove Vermont, married and died in Vergennes IL., Jackson County. My outline doesn't have any siblings listed but I may have some paperwork that names them. At least this will give you a pattern of migration. Jan O'Brien
