Unknown Their son Thomas Holt md. 1st unknown, md 2nd Sarah Elizabeth Shropshire, 12 Feb 1854, Pontotoc County, Mississippi [Sarah 1st md Charles Easterwood]. W. C. Holt - In my mother's notes I found: Thomas Holts father was W. C. Holt he died October 9, 1869. 1880 Thomas Holt census that listed SC for the birthplace of his father, mother and himself. I have found nothing else on W. C. Holt. Hazle Boss Neat found information for me in Pontotoc Co., MS on Thomas and Sarah, but could find nothing on W. C. Holt. That is where Thomas was living when W. C. would have died. Thomas Holt b. abt. 1820 South Carolina d. 2 Apr 1899 Faulkner County, Arkansas buried Cadron Gap Sarah Elizabeth Shropshire b. abt. 1814 Kershaw District, South Carolina d. 21 Feb 1893 Faulkner County, Arkansas buried Cadron Gap Thomas Holt - I first find Thomas Holt in 1850 Pickens County AL Census. He is living with family of A. J. and Catherine Land. His children Pinkney and William are living with family of David Easterwood. Catherine Land is David Easterwoods daughter. Information I received from Pickens County think Pinkney and William may be David and Lucinda Easterwood's grandchildren. I have estate papers for Lucinda Easterwood and she mentions her grandchildren, I believe, and Pinkney and William are not mentioned. The Easterwoods came to Pickens Co. AL from Union County, SC. In 1860 Pontotoc Co. MS Census Thomas Holt's children are William, Pinkney, Martha Ann [my ggrandmother] Hugh, Elizabeth Easterwood [she is Sarah E. Shropshire Easterwood Holt's daughter] I believe these are Thomas Holt's two children from his first marriage, William D. Holt b. abt. 1843 South Carolina or Alabama [1850 census lists bplace as South Carolina, 1860 lists Alabama. William D. Holt, Capt. Bradford's Company [Confederate Guard's Art'y] Mississippi Volunteers. Died in Wilmington Hospital Jan 3 1862 Pinkney Albert Holt b. abt. 1846 South Carolina or Alabama d. 5 Aug 1888 in Faulkner County, Arkansas. Married Loduskey Pitts 26 Dec 1866 Pontotoc County, Mississippi 1880 Faulkner County, Arkansas Census they are next door to Thomas Holt. Albert P. Holt 34 ALSSCSC, Loduskie 32 MSSCSC, T Holt 9 MSALMS, Elizabeth Holt 7 MSALMS. 1910 Census Lamar, Yell County, Arkansas William T. I haven't looked through my database yet but my Holt's were also in Cadron, Faulkner Co. AR at the time of your Thomas Holt. My great great grandfather was also named Thomas Holt and was in Cadron in 1880 where he is found on the census with his wife, Victoria. Many of the Holt's that traveled to that area of AR originated from TN then spent a short stint in MO before going to Cadron for unknown reasons. We suspect because they had family there. Most of them returned to MO but some remained behind and are also buried where your Thomas is buried. I'll do some research on it but please be patient with me...I have a new grandson who takes up a lot of my time these days. Best wishes!
