If you give me your e-mail address, I can e-mail you copies of what I have found in the different census. We have a connection but I am not sure where.The Holts worked a farm at what was called Gatley Ditch.It was later re-named Kirtley Ditch.When you travel on the road from Alderly Edge you arrive at Mottram St.Andrew,there is a fork in the road where there is a monument.Where the road forks is where the Holt's farm was located.I discovered this old the old maps in the Macclesfield town hall.According to the census,the Holts moved to Hurdsfield,near Macclesfield and then back to Mottram St.Andrew.Some of the daughters went into the silk industry.
