Now as far as the link that you gave for the Holt family information is concerned. The only problem I have with that site is that it has been proven to be in error. There is "No relationship" of our line to the German Hans Michael Hold/Holt line. This has been proven by DNA to be incorrect since 2004, but many researchers still have it on their websites because they didn't check it out for themselves. I had been the Administrator of the Family Tree DNA Holt Surname Project since 2004 and according to several DNA samples from both lines I have proven this relationship to be impossible. Therefore,that John Holt (or any other John Holt from that line) and Polly Hancock cannot be the parents of our Charles Holt.
