He married my great grandmother 31 Aug 1886 in Philadelphia. PA and her father banished him from the home that same night. It is my belief he might have been a polygomist. I think he only married her because he got her pregnant. My father told me stories that John used to come to Philadelphia every weekend and give my grandfather (His son) a silver nickel. He would meet him on the street corner. His marriage license lists a birth date of 26 Aug 1864 in Newark, NJ, but NJ has no record of this. I wish to end the mystery to my maiden name and find out where it had its roots. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also want to note, my great grandmother never remarried after John was banished. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
