In it was a mention of Nancy Ward, born about 1738 in TN and said that her family connections reach into all parts of the Cherokee. Her second husband was Bryan Ward. There were two references, one to "Descendants of Nancy Ward" by Hampton using the notes of Emmet Starr. Some of Starr's genealogies were included in "History of the Cherokee Indians." I have tried to find one of these but have not to date. She might be an ancestor of Queen Victoria Ward Holt.
