    3. I'm not sure which part of Ireland my Holt ancestors came from as the census only reveals they were born in Ireland. However, I think it is possible they were from county Kildare and wonder if you have any information on them. My 3xgt grandfather Joseph Holt was born in Ireland 1795-1800. He also married in Ireland and his wife was named Mary. She was born around 1801 (Ireland) and their first daughter Letitia Holt was born in Ireland around 1825. They moved to Liverpool England soon after and another daughter Mary was born in Liverpool around 1828. A son Joshua was born in 1830 but must have died as another son called Thomas Joshua was baptized in Liverpool in 1834. Joseph Holt (1795-1800) was a bricklayer. Letitia his daughter married a Patrick Byrne (born Ireland) in Liverpool in 1845. The 1841 and 1861 census shows the family had a lodger, a John Curran born about 1826 in Ireland. John Curran was also a bricklayer. I just need to find out where in Ireland they came from. Can you help? Regards Carole
