Holt, born December 1834. Okay, look at the 1850 census of Williamson Co., Tn. and you will find James in the home of William Holt, 36, born Tn. His wife is Mary, 48, born N. C. Also in this home is Meredy F, 20, born Tn.; James M., born 1833; and Martha A., 13, born Tn. Was William possibly older than 36? Therefore M.F. is Meredy F. When was the deed signed? Give me some dates on your Jeffrey and John M. Johnson so I will have something to go by. Williamson Co. is full of Johnsons. I e-mail several all the time. I'll bet Mary is your Johnson daughter.
