I just read on the Houston, TX website that some remains had finally been laid to rest which had been accidentally dug up in the 80's. The Houston Fire Dep't held a ceremony to pay respect to nearly 30 deceased Houstonians- the bones were buried in a donated casket....... I guess that 'whose' remains they were was not known, although I suspect that a visit to the county tax collecter could have traced ownership of the land back and come up with 'some' idea of what families it might have included.
