I suspect his son, Henry, is the same Henry Holt who married Matilda Baldwin Newsom in 1865 and raised a family with her in Floyd/Pike Counties in Kentucky. My Henry is a "mystery man," seemed disconnected from his family, yet on all the censuses stated place of birth as Tennessee, age consistently with a birth year of 1847-48, and in the 1890 special Veteran's census stated he enlisted in 1862 in the 5th Tennessee Cavalry, Co. B., and served nine months. I would like to be able to connect Henry back to his family, if possible. Does anyone know what became of Kendrick Holt's son, Henry Holt?
