My Holt line comes from Parrottsville, in Cocke County and not Bybee. They descend from Wyatt Holt's line, who came from North Carolina and then settled in Greene County. While I understand recent DNA testing does show that the lines originally thought not to be related are indeed related nobody knows how far back that connection happened. The people in both of the Holt lines in Cocke County have always believed they were not related so the connection must be a long ways back. Richard, Since we are discussing the Cocke County, TN Holt lines would either one of you have a Zebedee Holt married to Eleanor and father of seven daughters? It is showing that Zebedee and Eleanor were both born in VA based on the Cocke County 1860, 1870 census. But I'm having a difficult time connecting Zebedee to either of the Cocke Co. Holt lines?
