I have been busy working on the Holt line in Maryland. My grandfather was Thomas H. Holt and everything I find out is that he was born in Maryland about 1847-1849. I find a Washington Holt with a son in the 1850 census that could be his father but someone in one World Tree that said he died in 1867 or so. I find that he was in the Civil War as a Private on the Union side. Anyone out that is working on the Holt line find any proof that he died. I know that someone must have found out this information to put it in a World Tree. I keep coming back to this Thomas and I need to prove somehow that he didn't die before I continue on working this line. Otherwise I am dead in the water. Thanks for any information good or bad.
