There is still another book on the Holt family that might be of interest to ever descendant of Michael Holt (the German line). The book is titled ALAMANCE: THE HOLT FAMILY AND INDUSTRIALIZATION IN A NORTH CAROLINA COUNTY, 1837-1900. It is written by Bess Beatty and I highly recommend it. My copy was purchased at the Alamance County Historical Museum for about $20.00 but it is also available through Amazon.com books. There is a book called: The Descendants of Michael Holt. It has mostly all of the Holts since they arrived in VA. It is very interesting reading and you may be able to find it at the Mormon library. The Alamance County Historical Museum is a great place. My husband just met the director there a couple of weeks ago and the people there are wonderful people.
