Carolina, parents unknown, died Whitely County Kentucky ca 1849. Paschal and Rachel where married Martinsville, Henry County, Va. 1820 have the copy of marriage license. I believe Paschal was from Rockingham, N. Carolina. Understanding that much of my data is from compilations and therefor useful mostly as a clue and not a fact: (1) William HOLT (abt 1664 - bef 18 May 1726) married Elizabeth SEWARD (abt 1670 - bef 21 Sep 1737). William and Elizabeth married before 1692 assumed to have resided in the Surry County Va. area. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Caufield SEWARD. He was the grandson of Randall HOLT the immigrant. Their children include William, Charles, Tahpennes, Mary, Sarah, Ann, Thomas, and Elizabeth. (2) William was born abt 1692. (2) Charles was born abt 1694 and died before 27 April 1773. Charles was married to Elizabeth Presson and Sarah Judkins. His children include Lucy, William, Ann, Charles, Samuel, Henry, Hannah, and Sarah. (2) Tahpennes was born abt 1695 and married Thomas NESWOM (son of Thomas and Elizabeth Crawford NEWSOM. (2) Mary was born abt 1696 and married William CLANTON. Their children include John CLANTON. (2) Sarah was born abt 1697. (2) Ann was born abt 1698. (2) Thomas was born abt 1700 and died abt 1788 in Southampton County VA. He married Virginia Ann Newsom in 1727 in Surry County Va. She was the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Crawford NEWSOM (see Tahpennes m. Thomas above). Their children include Amey, Charles, Thomas, Jesse, Sarah, Martha, and Frederick. (2) Elizabeth was born after 1700. That someone is not included in the above list does not mean that I contend they don't belong - only that I haven't seen record of the relation yet. I'd love any corrections and additions and am more than happy to share pdf or gedcom. I have some of these childrens lines very much forward and am especially interested in sharing data with anyone related through the line of Amey HOLT (daughter of Thomas and Virginia Ann) who married James Martin. The only info I have is that my grandmother was Anna Mae Holt who married William Clifford Davis. They had my father, William Hoyt Davis, in Delta Co. Texas in 1914. Either Anna or Wm. C. had a sister named Juanita, who married a Sandel and lived in Dallas. I know Juanita was my dad's aunt but don't know if she was a Holt or a Davis. I assumed she was a Holt as she gave the info on my fathers' birth certificate and did not know his father's birthplace. She listed Anna's as Alabama. I never knew any of them and my mother wouldn't discuss them with me. She divorced him when I was 3 mo. old and was pretty bitter. I found out he had died in 1976, and that he possibly had other children in Dallas and would love to find them. Any info is appreciated. Hope everyone is having a fantastic Easter! :O) I will be going to Germany in June (God willing) for a little over two weeks and would like to go to the place Hans Michael is supposed to be from. I have it in my records as Stetten, Baden-Wurttenburg, Germany. If someone has found any new information, that is different from this, that is "documented" please let me know. I have located Stetten and read up on this village. Seems like a wonderful place. Also, I have that the Holt name use to be HOLD (German Line from Hans Michael) if anyone has documented proof other wise, please let me know that also. We have a friend who reads German and he will be with us, BUT I am not sure how much information if any I will find.
