There was a Reuben Holt of Natchitoches Parish, LA, his father was William Holt(MS), mother was Rhonda Powell Holt. William died in 1836 in Hinds Co, MS. I have Pillans in my tree and have been gathering information on any Pillan family and their descandants that I come across in order to try to put 'the big picture' together. In the 1851 census, Marion was 18, the daughter of William Pillans (age 48) and Ann Pillans (age 45). Marion and John were married in Jul 1851.
