I am a direct descendant of Elizabeth Holt and Isaac Frye. My Elizabeth Holt is a descendant of Nicholas Holt of Andover and the daughter of Timothy Holt and Elizabeth ?????. Given the timeframe, is it possible that the Amos Holt you listed is a sibling of Elizabeth Holt Frye?

    1. [HOLT-L] HOLT on the 1817 Reservation Roll
    2. Carson and Betty's genealogy research
    3. Eli HOLT Eliphus HOLT Liphus HOLT Polly HOLT are listed on the 1817 Reservation Roll, a result of the Treaty of 1817 which allowed some Cherokee to accept part of a 640 acre tract of land in the east and to remain beyond "the removals". Note the similarity among "Eli", "Eliphus", and "Liphus". "Polly" is likely Mary "Polly" Scott the wife of Eliphus HOLT. Can it be assumed that "Eli", "Eliphus", and "Liphus" represent three generations of descent? Does anyone have sourced data on this family? CoachTurner@Softhome.net
