This family is English and from the Robert & Dorothy Holt from England, to MD, to VA. He states Simon Holt was born in 1736 or 1737 in K & Q Co. or King William Co. VA. He died 28 Aug. 1816 Baldwin Co. GA. Md Sarah Hines 6 July 1763, Richmond Co. VA. Simon was in Halifax Co. VA some years prior to his move to GA. His children are shown as: 1.     3. Oma Mae HOLT Cole, my aunt, died Oct. 3, 2002 in Van Buren, Arkansas following a heart attack suffered at her home in Alma, Arkansas Oct. 2, 2002. She was a long time genealogist familiar to several on the HOLT mailing list. She was the widow of Brian Roosevelt COLE. She is survived by 2 daughters, 1 brother Lewis HOLT of Alma, several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 at the Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, Arkansas at 10 A.M. Reba Hall
