The Holmes List is about genealogy, so please restrict your posts to subjects that might help everyone further their search for ancestors. If you remember your welcome message, you'll recall that there are several things that are simply not done on a list. One is post non-relevant material. Another is to add attachments to messages. Having been the recipient of an enormour message once (the guy inadvertantly attached a school report) that totally bollixed up my mailbox, I am adamantly opposed to ANY sort of attachment on Holmes List messages. So be warned. The first time you do it, I'll chide you gently. The second time, you might want to open your mailbox carefully, for fear of what's inside. If there's something you want to send that you feel is too large for regular posting (and I'd count that as anything bigger than 2-3 typewritten pages), ask who wants it, then send it to them individually. But NO gedcoms, or other long family lists, please, and nothing else that might corrupt people's mailboxes because of size.
