My earliest HOLMES is Joseph, born 1860 in Maine. Both of his parents were also born in Maine. He married Elizabeth ANTZ or MANTZ or Marz, born in 1872 in Connecticut. They settled in Brooklyn, New York and established a printing business in Richmond Hill, New York. They Had five sons, Joseph Walter, born 1896 in N.Y., Arthur Daniel, born Sept 26 1902 in N.Y., Elmer J., born 1905 in N.Y., Robert C., born 1909 in N.Y. and Lucien D., born 1914 in N.Y.
