looking for info on this Holmes family. ?? Garnett Holmes -born 1770s- Va wife was Sarah ?? Holmes- born 1778-- Va married around 1790- don't know where they were married. not sure if they were NC or SC before they moved to Carroll co,Ga.had land in the lottery in 1830s only two known children- Lawson and James- born early 1800s have not found them on an earlier census. there may have been other children and they either married or died before they moved to Ga. believe that the Garnett is a middle name. any ideas ?? later they moved to Randolph Co,Ala Ann
