My earliest Holmes is John, thought to be born in Virginia, 1780 place unknown, married to Rachel Long in Kentucky, May 6, 1814, lived in Hardin Co. KY and later moved to Decatur, then Boone Co. IN, died 1874. Brothers were William & Jacob. Still looking for his parents.
