My line is from Elisha Warren HOLMES, b. 6 Jul 1773 Ireland, d. 25 Feb 1846 Pike Co., MS, buried Bennie Carr property E. of Tylertown, MS. Married Sarah "Sallie" STOVALL, b. 1795 Granville Co., NC, d. 1850 Pike Co., MS. They settled on Collins Creek, Pike Co., MS in the early part of 1800. They were the original ancestors of the extensive Holmes family in Pike County, MS. His home was located near the present town of Tylertown.
