I have been hoping to get in touch with someone from Ohio for some help. My g grandfather, wife and one son and three daughters, came to Kansas sometime in the late 1870's or early 1890's. My grandmother, Bessie J. Holmes, was born July 4, 1874 in Wayne County, Ohio. In her obituary, it listed her parents as A. Holmes and wife, which really doesn't give you much to go on.
