I believe the Monmouth County HOLMES are descendents of the 'infamous' Rev Obadiah HOLMES of Mass. There is a large history of that family, which I have tried (without success) to connect to my HOLMES from Greenwich, Conn.. I believe one of them was a Sheriff in Monmouth County. Bill S
