My earliest Holmes ancestor is William Holmes born c 1715 and died in1758 in Fredrick County, Maryland. He married Honor Wells c 1740 in Baltimore County, Maryland. Our line comes through his son James Holmes who moved to Fairfield County, Ohio in about 1820. [email protected]
