I am interested in finding the birthplace, birthdate and parents of Hugh HOLMES or HOMES. He was of Newcastle, Lincoln Co., ME. Hugh first shows up in records ca 1761 as a "Pemaquid Heirs" petitioner in 1761. He also married around that time wido Mary HOPKINS. The Pemaquid Heir tag would have put him and his family in the Muscongus Broad Bay area of Lincoln Co., which would probably be present day Bristol, ME. Any information appreciated. thanks, Charles
