I am new to the list and have not seen previous postings; so I do not know if HOLMES families in North Carolina have been recently discussed or not. I recently learned that I descend from Levi HARROLD and Rachel REYNOLDS who were married in Stokes Co., NC on 2 May 1815. They probably travelled in the same year to Shelby County, KY, along with Rachel's parents -- Richard REYNOLDS and Anna HOLMES. Does anyone know *where* in NC Anna Holmes married Richard REYNOLDS? At present I have no clue as to the Holmes line that is mine. Surnames that were used as given names for their children were WILEY, GREENBERRY, and MITCHELL. Can someone help? Dorothy
