I am a new subscriber and researching surnames of HOLMES and HUNT. My gg grandfather is Francis Pierce HOLMES was born about July 5 1810. He married Jane HUNT or Huret she was born October 6, 1808 tombstone reads born in Lancastershire, England. They are buried in Montrose, LeeCo., Iowa They had three children believed to be born in England Edward M, born sometime in 1842, Sarah R., born about May 14,1844, and unknown. Believed to have departed England in April 1848. Jane was pregnant and delivered at sea on May 1, 1848. The unknown child died at sea. She had a fourth child in Iowa, Margeret Ann born March 13, 1852 died Oct 1935 Would like any information anyone can share with me.
