Hello, I,m new to this caper, so please forgive me for my first attempt. I'm searching for my family roots and this particular listing seems to be the obvious starting point. Can you please HELP me! My ggrand father, Joseph Holmes, was born in 1826, married in 1849 to Maria Hudson, in Keighley, West Yorkshire. They emigrated to Australia in 1855, via the Port Elizabeth, South Africa where they had an unscheduled stop-over for some two years, due to the arrival of my grandfather Benjamin, they finally settled in Newtown, Geelong Victoria. The above dates are not as accurate as I would wish as all the senior members of my family are dead and I wish to verify or ? their accurracy. Also to see if Joseph had any brothers or sisters?
