Glenn Holmes, b. 1931 in Hardin Co., TX, d. 1993 in Harris Co., TX, (buried in Hardin Co.), m. Bonnie L. Savoy (my parents) Clayton Holmes, b. 1903, d. 1949 (buried in Tyler Co,, TX), m. Inez Walters (my grandparents) Robert Washington Holmes, b.1867, d. 1952 (buried in Tyler Co., TX), m. Mary Eboline Overstreet (my great-grandparents) My great-grandmother was the daughter of Daniel 'Dan' Overstreet, from Conecuh County, Alabama. The Overstreets have proven to be very prominent in the south. I have not been able to determine where my great-grandfather (Robert Washington Holmes) was born, or who his parents and other family members are.
