I am stuck on the HOLMES side of the family tree. I have hit the wall with Joseph HOLMES, born 1860-61 in MAINE. Both of his parents were also born in Maine. He married a woman named Elizabeth______, who was born in CONNECTICUT. Her parents were both born in GERMANY. Joseph moved to Brooklyn, New York, Started a Printing Business in Queens and had five sons. They were Joseph, Arthur, Elmer Robert and Lucien. Any connection would be appreciated. If any of you Maine researchers can connect him to a Maine family, you will make my day.
