Hi Carolyn, I would be interested in any information you have on Irish Holmeses. My ggrandfather was a Holmes from Irleland. He came to Boston in 1887 according to the 1900 census. His name was Dennis Holmes and his parents were listed on his marriage certificate as James Holmes and Hannah ? My grandfather and siblings were removed from the home of Dennis and his wife Mary between 1895 and 1900 due to some situation I have yet to uncover and I am the first to even have known who they were. All of the above were born in Ireland. A prison situation would not be out of the question so I am interested in anything I can find. Thanks! Jane Holmes Godfrey
