Dear Steve and all Holmes researchers: The entire lineage for Abraham Lincoln, to include is line to Obadiah and Katherine (Hyde) HOLMES is included in Gary Boyd Roberts book: ANCESTORS OF AMERICAN PRESIDENTS- published by Carl Boyer 3rd, CA.-1981. This book has all presidents lineages , including their royal and Mayflower lines and other notable connections. It's an interesting book to check out and it will surprise one how many Presidents may be related to you through common ancestors- especially the early Virginians and New Englanders. Sarah BOWNE, b. Gravesend, LI, NY 27 Nov 1669, d. aft 1714, married Richard SALTER, b.? d. aft 1728. He was a lawyer, judge, and colony legislator at Monmouth. Their daughter, Hannah SALTER, b.?; d. ca 1727, married 24 Apr 1686 Mordecai LINCOLN, Jr. b. Hingham, MA 24 Apr 1686. Mordecai was b. at Amity, PA, 12 May 1736, d. bef 14 Sep 1714 at Monmouth, NJ.
