Your site is to be envied...I am intrigued by the name Hattie. My ggpa Thomas Holmes b 16 Sep 1829 in England , died 11 May 1893 in Detroit , MI . His parents were named John and Hattie Cross Holmes. That is all I know about him so far. He married Mary Fortune b 1829 in Ireland, d 1898 in Detroit , MI. They had four children, Maggie who married Geo Lucas in 1886 , Helen ( my gma )b. 1861  Lily b 1865 son Thomas 1872 . Gma said Thomas went away and never came back...whatever that means. They lived at 185 LaBrosse St in Detroit, MI. I could not get to your Genealogy Page..... Helen Walsh
