George Washington HOLMES b ca 1822 Place: Con. m 8 May 1845 Place: Lake County, Iowa d ca 1852 George was a school teacher he lived in Conn, Ohio and In. before moving to Iowa. I know from a few pages of his journal that he taught school in Andersonville, Franklin, Ind in 1847. In 1850 he taught school in Aurora, Ind. He refered to it as a small suburb of Aurora.
