Looking for information on a Charles Tarbell Holmes, born May 22, 1841 in East Pepperell MA, married Dec 24 1867 to Mary Josephine Packard. They passed away in Rockford Illinois. Charles father was Ira Holmes, don't have info on his birthplace, or anything else. Ira married Harriet Newell, who was born in 1810, died Oct 22, 1847. Charles and Mary were my grandfather Frances Herbert Stimax's biological parents. He was adopted on Jan 2, 1888 by the Stimax's of Stillman Valley, IL. Reasons for adoption probably....the family had about 10 children I believe, don't know if Mary had passed away or not when this happened. May have been for financial reasons.
