I am seeking the descendants of Frank and Jennie (Dove) Holmes who were married in Winnebago County, Illinois, 24 Nov 1881. I believe he was a son of Israel Holmes and Harriett (Hubbert) Holmes who moved to Butler County, Iowa. Israel had been born in New York in 1831, according to any census record about him and lived in Illinois from about 1850 to about 1885. He died in Butler County in 1914. Harriett was born in Canada and died in Butler County, Iowa in 1901. Descendants of ANY of their nine children, please contact me.
