I am a 3rd generation born Canadian Holmes, born in 1933 at Toronto, Ontario but currently living in Ottawa. My 3rd Great Grandfather was Richard who was born at St. John's Chapel, near Alston UK in 1763 and died at Grassfield Nov 10, 1836. He married Elizabeth Slack at Alston, May 6, 1790 and she was born June 15, 1766 and died at Grassfield Nov 12, 1847. I am looking for information on their predecessors as well as their children. They had a son Thomas born 1804 and must have had others. Help will be appreciated.
