I am searching for Holmes - Roland Augustus Holmes, m. to Minnie A. Turner. Roland was born in Canada in the middle of the the 1800s, came to US, in northern New York state, married Minnie A. Turner, worked as brakeman for the northern run (M&M line?) of the New York Central Railroad. he was killed in a freak accident in the late 1920s - (1928 or 29). He had several sisters and brothers who lived in Ontario, Canada. I would appreciate any info. his first and middle names are rather unusual. There are many Holmses but none seem to be related. Roland A. and Minnie were living in Syracuse,NY when he died. They had two children - James A., and Mildred S. James was my father. The children were born in the 1890s. James died in Utica, NY in the 1970s, and Mildred died in Syracuse at a later date. I know Roland A's brothers and sisters and have some info on his father and grandfather, but there is much more that I would like learn,and I would appreciate any info that anyone might have.
